Search for a New Superintendent

Chapel Hill-Carrboro Schools Superintendent Nyah Hamlett announced her resignation from her role in February 2025, with intentions to finish out the school year.

The elected school board will conduct a search for her replacement, and Equity 4 Education plans on following this process and advocating for a leader that will prioritize the needs of Black students, truly addresses the achievement gap, looks at developing opportunities for all students, and develop policies that put equity first.
